OMG!!! Sorry to everyone about my recent depression. Lolx! I'm disappointed that none of my appeals were successful (especially when my L1R5 only missed by a point!). However, I've failed to notice myself neglecting my current school activities and responsibilities like choir! Therefore, YJCian schoolmates, PLEASE help me to catch up in these areas, especially choir! (OMG! You guys have learnt a new song already?!! I'm so lagging behind! No surprise if my name cease to exist in the choir namelist!)
Anyway, today's outing with Geen, Ying Hui and Alan was great! Thanks guys, for making my day! Lolx! I went back to ZHSS to donate my ZHSS uniform to the school. (For a good course! Afterall, what better way to get rid of your uniforms? Hahax!) I then went to Mavis and Clara's house to play tennis with Geena, Alan and Clara. (Man! I still suck at the game! Hope the next time I play with you guys, the ball may actually cross over the net instead of going off court!) After the game, Alan, Geena and i took a cab to J8 to meet Ying Hui and then the 4 of us made our way to Suki Sushi at Cineleisure to have a buffet lunch! Lolx! Over there, once again, Ying Hui tried to stuff me with food, saying that I ate too little. (I appreciate the food but then I got "killed" by my parents later for not being able to finish the dinner that they had bought back for me!) Due to my curfew of 6pm, I was unable to shop for notebooks and files for school with them after our very long but worth it lunch.

Alan, Ying Hui and Geena. Notice the Geena's RJC pe shirt (Hahax!) and the absence of me in the picture. (Camera woman. Duh!)
This was what we had for our buffet. Ok, not really. More like the empty plates of what we had for buffet with many other plates being cleared away by the waitress.

Just went to the NYJC website to check my appeal status. I've been checking everyday. The stupid website showed these same words again,"still being assessed"! As today's 13th March, I had to call the school to check my appeal status. The moment the they picked up the phone, the receptionist answered in a monotone manner that those whose appeal have been accepted have been called up by the school and that the rest who were not called up were the rejected ones. Seriouly, why make me wait for so long just to be told that my appeal is unsuccessful? Why give me the hope of the possibilty of being accepted till the very last day with the words "still being assessed" when in the end, my appeal was rejected? The higher you hope, the greater you fall. Currently, I'm in the dumps.
I still don't understand. Why is it that students who did not do as well as me can get into NYJC? Science stream some more! The unfairness just makes me feel worse. Afterall, I just missed the cut-off point by a mark! Now, I'm left with the SAJC appeal. I REALLY hope that I get it. After all, I really put in my effort for the audition that day.
Thanks, Noel for your help in the appeal even though it was not accepted. Sorry for wasting your time too, making you accompany me down to NYJC to appeal. Ying Hui, thanks for your encouraging words. Hope the SAJC appeal succeeds. Thanks for following me down to the audition too. Geena, thanks for your help in the appeal for SAJC. Hope that the appeal will get accepted.

How do you be happy for others? I guess I kind of know how to be happy for other's good happenings. However, everytime I see them happy, the little green monster called jealousy always pops up and create trouble for me.
I should be happy when one of my best friends got her wish and was accepted to NYJC. It's just that, I can't help but wonder why she was so lucky to have a teacher appealing for her to be accepted into NYJC. Is there no one who truly cares if I make it into the JC of my choice? Perhaps there are people silently cheering me on but yet I can't help but feel depressed that no one can truly help me out in this crisis. Yes, I know there are my family and friends helping me in many ways that they can think of but it's not enough to secure me a place in the JC that I desire.
YJC. I had really thought that I would be able to leave this school and get into the school of my dreams. However, all hopes were dashed when I saw the posting results that was flashed across my computer screen yesterday. There's really nothing wrong with this school. Perhaps the higher you aim, the greater the disappointment is. The greater the disappointment is too when everyone around you is getting into the schools that you had applied for. Now, looking at my results slip, I question myself for no achieving a grade as good as them. I really like my score, after all, I believe that I have done my best in the 'O' level examinations. Unfortunately, doing your best is just not enough. Even if I had done my best, I just am not good enough to get into the schools of my choice.
Just yesterday, I was even considering the route of going directly into university to get a degree. It would not only allow me to be prepared for the working society but also allow me to graduate earlier than my peers. However, my parents and my elder sister are not so keen on this choice, therefore I may not even be able to consider this route. Poly application ends tomorrow, therefore I'll be stuck with the JC route. My family is unable to afford for overseas studies and so going overseas to study is not an option for me
My head starts to trob the moment I think about this. One wrong step and my future may be ruined! Why is it that people who did not do as well as you did could get into the JC that you've applied for just because their secondary schools are affliated to that JC or because they have bonus points deduction from higher chinese? Why can people not need to score as well as you to get into the same JC as you because they are entering through Direct School Admission (DSA) and only need to score 20 points and below? Why is there even such a thing as IP? Many top JCs are difficult to enter because IP students get to enter them without requiring to sit for their 'O' levels examination. Take RJC for example. Students with 6 points can't even get into RJC because after points deduction for CCA, they get 4 points, however, 1 point away from the cut-off point, 3! It is because of such cases that many students are unable to enter that JCs that they had chosen as first choice. Even students with 10 points can't enter SAJC's science stream because they do not have any bonus points to be deducted to reached the cut-off point of 8!
Isn't it supposed to be based on merits? Sometimes, I wish that schools would do away with the affliation or DSA or IP systems and accept students according to the academic results that the students have achieved!

Today is the last day of YJC, well, for me at least. As YJC had done well for the 'A' levels, we were given a half day today. This meant that we would be having lessons till 12.30pm instaed of the usual 4.30pm.
First half of the day was 1 and 1/2 hours of JC1 test, followed by 1 hour of PE. Since there was no test for us, my class ended up playing basketball as usual. We played basketball till PE, did our warm-ups and 2 rounds around the track before joining the guys again in basketball. Melissa and April from P23 also joined in as the girls from P07 and P23 were supposed to have PE together. Tracy and the other girls skipped PE to have their meal.
After PE, all of us dragged ourselves reluctantly to the 4th level in the J-block to have our math tutorial. The moment we stepped in, we had to get ready for our class test on Arithmetic Progression. I didn't reallystudied for it but I managed to get 11/15 for it. The guys in class obviously did not study for it for they were all competiting to clinch the last position in class which was won by justin with a 0/15.
Finally, we reached our last period, GP. GP was about essay writing. From there, I realised my weakness in my previous essay - the inability to link my paragraphs together. We were using our previous discussion on euthanasia as an example for essay writing. Time seemed to fly and before we knew it, the lesson had ended.
the guys went to North Point to have their lunch while Abigail and I stayed in school to have our's with our "sister", KT! Hahax! KT left after that for CCA and Abigail and I went over to North point to return the guys their math scripts from the teacher. Mun Kok crushed his and the aunty who was clearing the table took it and put it in his empty bowl and took it away, therefore that was the end of his paper. Lolx!
We all finally left for home. Wee long took a different train from us. We met Tracy in the station and took the train together to go home. First stop was Bishan (Tracy), then Bradell (Justin), followed by mine, Toa Payoh. Mun Kok had to take his all the way to City Hall for he stays around the Bedok area if I've remembered correctly.
Well, to P07: Thank you for our company through my first 3 months in YJC! It's been an unforgetable experience with you guys. Hope that we will still keep in contact!
Interesting things that I have learnt today:
1) Mun Kok has a black belt taekwondo!
2)Mahjong has become the latest fad among teenagers as shown by the sunday new paper!
3)Incest is the latest debatable topic. EWW! I hope we don't need to talk about it for GP!
The guys in North Point.
Another picture of the guys. Well, the guys refused to take a proper picture therefore we had to resort to taking their pictures without their knowledge.

Sunday. The day to sit back and relaxed. Yet, it was a rushing day for me. Early in the morning, I had to drag myself out from bed to wash up and head for my piano lessons. I still had not recovered from the midnight movie which had lasted until 1 plus in the morning. It was only during my lessons did I start to feel more awake.
Right after lessons, I was rushed off immediately by my parents to Marina Square to get the haircut that I had needed bedly for quite a while. Seriously, the long fringe I had was getting on my nerve. It was always getting into my eyes and irritating them. By the time I was done, it was already 2.55pm. I was supposed to meet Ying Hui at 3pm to do some shopping before heading over to Noel's house to celebrate Glenn's birthday. I ended up meet Ying Hui at orchard MRT instead of J8 at 3 plus due to constant delays by my parents. One moment they were rushing and the next moment my dad was purchasing pants from some sports shop.
When I finally met Ying Hui, we were practically rushing through our shopping because we felt bad delaying time and did not want to keep the rest, especially Lee Yen waiting. In the middle of our journey from Orchard MRT to Heeren, i saw Jerald. Hahax. Such a coincidence! After all, the other girls had left and Lee yen was the only girl there. Ying hui did not managed to buy the ankle socks that she needed but we managed to take a neoprint before finally heading over to Noel's house.
By then, everyone had left except for Glenn, Timothy and Noel. (Duh! Timothy and Noel stays there!) Ying Hui and I ended up playing pool while the guys played squash before we got together again at around 7 coming to 8 to have dinner at Chomp Chomp. The gathering to celebrate Glenn's birthday was actually over the moment everyone left but I had promised to TRY to make it, so... Yeah.

Ying Hui playing pool. Man, we suck at it! Ok, basically it's just me because Ying Hui just started playing only recently and I started last year.

Another picture of Ying Hui playing pool. Sorry Ying Hui! I'm not uploading my picture playing pool! Lolx!

Here I am now, finally, making an effort to link people's blogs to mine but i can only remember a few so these are all that I have so far. Anyway, I've also recently developed an interest in reading blogs.
It was today that I read my sister's blog and I realised that all these years that I had thought that I knew her best, I actually didn't really know her. I thought that we were so close that she would tell me anything and everything that had happened in her life but it turns out that i still do not know many things about her. Just like yesterday, I really believed and hoped that she would call me herself to tell me her results for her 'A' levels. I waited and waited but she never called. I tried to call her but she had her handphone turned off. I had to wait in agony throughout the rest of the school day till night before she finally told her results to my dad through an sms. I tried to understand her actions by reasoning with myself that she maybe upset with her results and that she needed time to cool herself down but deep down inside, I was hurt. Even when my call was answered by her, when asked about her results, she just asked me to wait till night ans instantly hung up on me, not even letting me talk to her more.
Anyway, I went onto her blog and read the most recent post and instantly, sadness overwhelmed me. In it, I could almost feel her fear of disappointing us should she not do well in her 'A' levels. However, I could only understand her fears truly through reading her blog. It felt as if I was only learning about her through another person. There was a sense of infamiliarity towards her, as if I had never knew her. Then, thinking back, I finally realised how foreign she has become towards me. Everyday, the only time we see each other is after her work. Sometimes, I don't even see her for one whole day because when she's home, I'm asleep and when I'm up early in the morning for school, she's still asleep. I really miss her a lot.
Sometimes, I wonder. Will we grow even further apart if she starts university? Last night, I heard a conversation between my parents and her about living in a hostel when university starts and I worry that I'll never see her again for a long time even though we're living in he same country. I fear that we'll never be as close as before. I hate this feeling. It feels like I'm losing my sister. This sucks!

We had Chemistry practical on Friday. Bored with no Nisha there to start a "nutty" conversation with me, I started to take pictures of YJC's Chemistry lab and the rest of the school. Afterall, what better way is there to remember YJC by? It was also the released of the 'A' Levels results and therefore there was plenty of free periods for me to take these pictures and slack.

This is what you will see in a Chemistry lab. Lolx! Lots of chemicals kept in bottles. Those red stuff are our goggles! It makes you look nerdy in them! Lolx! This was taken before the teacher came.

This is the Chemistry lab. Chemistry Lab 2 to be exact. This was also taken before our Chemistry teacher came. We were supposed to wait outside the lab for her.

Hahax! Our titration setup!

Abigail making sure that the acid is mixed well with the distilled water inside this volumetric flask.

Our final product after conducting titration onto our diluted solution! We obtained this colour because the indicator, Phenolphthalein was added to it before we titrated.

This was the bench that Abigail and I used during Chemistry practical. The super messy side was mine. Hahax!

This is the open air canteen that we normally have our lunch at. It's brighter, more cooling and less crowded unlike the canteen.

This is the canteen. Don't be fooled by this picture! My handphone's flash was on, therefore it looks brighter than usual.

This is the bookshop at YJC.

This is the girls', especially Nisha's and my "hao jie mei", KT. He may seem quiet and shy but when you get him to talk, he can get very lame and crappy! He's too shy so he only allowed me to take his backview. (To protect his identity, his name will be replaced by KT. Lolx!)

Today we had last Physics practical. Nisha and I started to get crazy and take a few shots of our own science experiment based on the topic, temperature. We also managed to take a picture with our Physics teacher, Mr Wee, who Nisha thinks has the most straight and nicest teeth ever. He will be leaving YJC in around July. Nisha and I managed to snap a shot of Jason, our crappy friend! Hahax! But evil Jason dropped ice down our backs after completing our experiment. It made me even colder as today's weather was cold and was raining the whole day. Not funny, Jason!

Nisha and Jason with that retarded look. Lolx!

Mr Wee, Hak Yong (the genius in our class and Niaha and my "tutor"), Nisha and I!

Our science experiment. The masterpiece of Nisha. Jason and I. And Mr Wee's because he was the one who set up the whole apparatus.

Side view of our experiment.

Close up of the experiment. Nisha and I wanted to takepicture of the heater while it was glowing red. Nisha's picture showed the coils in its normal dull colour. Luckily, mine managed to show it glowing! Inside the funnel is ice.

Pictures from the day before CVD (Celebrating Values Day) and CVD itself. Sorry! I know that was quite a long time ago but I just uploaded them into the computer.
Our banner! It says "P07'07"! Isn't it nice?

Joshua and Wen Hao hard at work.

On CVD itself, Qian Yu, Ying Hui and Geena came down to support me!
P07'07 with our CT, Miss Phoon! Too bad some of us had to leave early from CVD so this was what was left of our class.

It was Lynnette's birthday on Wednesday. Our class decided to do something special and so we bought chocolates and stacked it up into a pyramid as her birthday cake and had a candle right on the top. Chocolate cupcakes were also bought for her as her birthday cake too. Jessica and Zhangxin did not need to attend lesons as they were redrawing from school, therefore they went ahead to the open air canteen to organise the stuff while we were having lessons in the lecture theatre. Jessica, Abigail and I bought a packet of flour and Jessica used it to write Lynnette's name and happy birthday on the table. When Lynnette had to blow out the candle, the whole class was supposed to blow the flour at her. However, they were all standing at the back and could not blow the flour at her therefore we girls had to take the initiative and blow at at her. A "flour war" was started and Nisha and I had to run from place to place with our food to escape the war and eat in peace. After the "flour war", there was flour all over the place. Our class had to clean up the mess and a number of them ended up skipping physics tutorial to clear up the mess. (That was also the first time Nisha ever swept! Well done, Nisha! Except, next time, sweep the flour into the dustpan more instead of sweeping them onto my shoes. Lolx!) XD

Lynnette posing with her chocolate cupcake birthday cake.

Lynnette posing with her chocolate pyramid "cake". If you look carefully, there is a white mist which is the flour being thrown at her! XD

Hehheh... Excess flour for a flour war. Too bad they did not use finsh the whole packet of flour and the remaining flour left ended up in the bin.

The flour says "LYNNETTE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. P07".

Close up of her chocolate pyramid cake.
