Omg! Time really flies. One moment I was posted to YJC for the first 3 months and the next moment it's only 10 days away from the school posting result! Part of me is definitely happy as it's my chance to finally have the change in environment that I have been longing for for as long as I can remember. Another part of me however is hesitant. What if I can't make it into my first choice??? Of course, a part of me will definitely miss YJC, the friends and great teachers that i have there. I'll definitely miss you guys from P07'07!!! Thank you, teachers for your patience in teaching such a slow student like me!
YJC has taught me to appreciate my secondary school, ZHSS. In the past, I was always complaining about ZHSS for its lousy colour sense, example the green spiral stairs beside the canteen and the black railings.(Btw, the stairs and the railings are still the same colour as mentioned.) However, ever since I was posted to YJC, I've learnt to appreciate ZHSS for its aircon hall, always open classrooms (YJC have all of their classrooms locked to prevent stealing of the projectors and computers.)and even the canteen! The food in ZHSS may not be good to eat but at least it's way better than YJC. (No offense but it's true!) In the past, even when the food in ZHSS was not tasty, at least there were coffeshops just opposite school! In YJC, there's barely enough time for you to eat outside school! Unlike ZHSS, YJC is quite an old building. You get the picture. Anyway, YJC is also currently under renovations.
Oh! Don't worry Nisha! I've saved this paragraph just for you! Lolx! Nisha is my best friend in YJC. Hahax! Don't roll your eyes! It's true! Without Nisha, I'll probably suffer headaches everyday as a result of too much Chinese exposure. It's not that I sound weird speaking Chinese, ok, it's true that I sound weird speaking Chinese but also because I'm able to communicate better in English. Of course, sometimes I tend to forget to switch back to English when I'm talking to Nisha and therefore she'll have to constantly remind me "ENG...!". (Nisha's a malay so she doesn't really understand Chinese so we're training her. Muahahaha...) I guess Nisha's the only other person who talks as loudly as me so therefore we click. She can also become super crazy like me. She loves to eat chocolate and peanuts. (Just today, she actually ask the Malay stall auntie if she could have a packet of nuts with sugar!) Believe it or not, she has never folded a cloth before until I taught her how to fold her jacket! Hahax! She's also my studying buddy, always reminding me to study and because we are so 'kiasu', we always arrange physics dates with Mr. Wee to ask him questions regarding physics to clear our doubts. Thanks for completing your first 3 months in YJC with me. Gosh, I feel so guilty persuading you to saty on to accompany me when you live so far away! Anyway, good luck into getting into MJC, Nisha!
Hahax. That's about it for my days as a YJCian so far. Yup, we have our responsible CT rep, Lynnette, not so responsible assistant CT rep Billy (Well, we can't blame him. After all, he stays at east coast, practically the other end of Singapore!), forever cheerful Jessica (Good luck for poly!), Abigail who lives so near school (So lucky!!! Lolx!), super-smart Hak Yong (Nisha and my "teacher"!), Water a.k.a. Shui Yuan, soccer-crazy Zhangxin, Keng Tat who appears very quiet (Wait till you get him to talk! Hahax! He can be very lame and crappy!) and many more! Love you guys including Nikki who has withdrawn from YJC after getting her 'O' level results! (Good luck with poly too!) Wishing you guys all the best in your futures! XOXOXO
